Coming from a farmer's family background to touching people’s lives by transforming businesses, Raj Darji is an epitome of perseverance, determination, and hard work

Adorning the title of a farmboy turned technopreneur, Raj Darji, Founder and CEO of Aarav Solutions is a farmer’s son from Ablauva, a small village near Mehsana District in Gujarat, who went on to create a multi-million-dollar product engineering and IT consulting firm that has offices spread across the globe, including India, the US, the UK, and Canada, in less than a decade. He is a self-made entrepreneur that has been running this company completely bootstrapped.


In his childhood days, he studied at a government school, where students took turns in using the classrooms and sometimes even studying under a tree in the school compound. Later, Raj pursued his engineering degree graduation from Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering in Visnagar, Gujarat in Information Technology.


Being a farmer’s son honesty, courage, and the power to change for the better have always been deeply enrooted within him. His Parents and the lessons from the farmland he grew in have been his sources of inspiration and have helped him throughout his entrepreneurial journey. His life philosophy is to build innovative and value-driven products, run a people-centric organization that empowers its employees, and give back to society. His passion is to help entrepreneurs create self-sustainable businesses.

What inspired you to bootstrap your business and your recommendation for young entrepreneurs?

Bootstrapping a business basically eliminates the outside influences. It gives freedom to focus on building relationships with businesses of your choice. Either you can partner or hire resources that you think will help and grow your business. Bootstrapped business doesn’t have to worry about equity. And, you can take as many risks as possible and steer your business in any direction you want.

My recommendation for young entrepreneurs would be - dont rush, don’t try to overachieve, don’t burn yourself out. Bootstrapping a start-up is like slow food. Find the right healthy ingredients, mix them with craft and be patient to get an outstanding result. Think carefully and time it properly.

What are your top giveaways from your entrepreneur journey?
I always quote this sentence: To be able to give back to the community you come from, is probably the strongest vision you can have for your actions- since the actions that do not take people forward with you are short-lived So, my top giveaways from my entrepreneurial journey are Sanvid and Jadishwar Charitable Trust.

Sanvid began with a small intent to give back to society. We aim to create an environment where learning is not a privilege, but an inclusive opportunity for children to grow. It’s an effort to empower the next generation of Indian citizens through technical education and to connect them to the mainstream digital world. Jadishwar Charitable Trust provides financial upliftment and support for the widows, downtrodden, and unemployed citizens. The trust also helps people to establish or re-establish themselves, to make them self-sufficient and for a better future
What challenges did you face while scaling your business and how did you overcome the obstacles?
Growing businesses face a range of challenges. As business grows, different problems and opportunities demand different solutions - what worked a year ago might now be not the best approach. Recognising and overcoming the common pitfalls associated with growth is essential for your business to continue, grow, and thrive. Crucially, you need to ensure that the steps you take today don't themselves create additional problems in the future. So,Keep up with the market, Plan ahead, Take care of cash flow and financial management, Develop problem solving capabilities, Update the systems regularly, Upgrade your skills & attitude and Always welcome the changes.

How are you giving back to the society?
My business strategies, as some would say, have been unconventional. Even though in essence, businesses are about making profits- I have and will continue to calculate my rewards differently. Aarav Solutions should be more than just a business, but a social model that can empower and uplift those who need to be. With our Jadishwar Charitable Trust and Sanvid, we intend to cater aspects such as financial upliftment and support for the downtrodden, unemployed and widows, Education, Medical Assistance, Environmental Awareness, aid for vulnerable senior citizens, and aid for victims of natural disasters.
Riding through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, Raj is now sailing over the tides to reach the shore of success. He is not only winning his entrepreneurial journey but also making a difference in people’s lives through his non-profit organization, Jadiswar Charitable Trust. He reached, helped, and supported hundreds of downtrodden, needy, and sick to lead an empowered life.
